Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Revera (“we,” “us,” or “our”) handles information when you use the Revera iOS app. Revera is a voice recording, transcription, and AI notes app developed by Kirlos Yousef.

Information handled by the app

• Audio and transcripts. Revera records audio after you grant microphone permission. Recordings, transcripts, summaries, translated text, keywords, and action items are stored in the app on your device. They may also be included in device backups according to your Apple backup settings.
• AI processing. Realtime transcription streams audio to Revera’s Cloudflare-hosted relay and OpenAI. Other transcription requests send audio; summaries, translation, transcript questions, keyword extraction, and related AI actions send the relevant transcript text. The relay forwards requests to OpenAI and returns the response. These features require an internet connection. Recordings can be queued on the device while offline and processed after connectivity returns.
• Product analytics. Revera uses Mixpanel to understand app use and improve reliability and product decisions. Analytics can include a pseudonymous app-install identifier, app and device information, settings or onboarding choices, feature interaction events, processing status, usage durations, and subscription-related events. If you provide a display name, it may be sent to analytics and subscription providers. The app’s product analytics are configured to track interaction data; audio and transcript contents are not intentionally included in analytics events.
• Purchases. Apple processes App Store payments. Revera uses RevenueCat to read and manage subscription entitlement status. This may involve transaction and subscription details, app/device identifiers, and the display name or experiment attribution data described above. Revera does not receive your full payment card number.
• Support messages. If you email us, we receive the email address and any information you choose to include.

Online provider retention

AI requests are processed by OpenAI through Revera’s service relay. OpenAI’s API documentation says API data is not used to train or improve models by default. Its documented default abuse-monitoring logs may include customer content and may be retained for up to 30 days, subject to legal, safety, and other stated exceptions. Revera does not claim that requests use Zero Data Retention controls. Provider practices can change; review OpenAI’s current API data controls.

Cloudflare operates the relay infrastructure; Mixpanel provides product analytics; RevenueCat provides subscription management. Each provider handles information under its own terms and privacy practices. We do not control their independent processing. Why information is used

Information is used to record and transcribe audio, provide the AI features you use, maintain subscription access, understand app interactions, respond to support requests, protect the service, and meet legal obligations. We do not sell your recordings or transcripts.

Your choices and controls

• Grant or revoke microphone and speech-recognition permissions in iOS Settings.
• Delete recordings and related notes in the app, or use the app’s clear-all control. Deleting the app may remove locally stored data; device backups are controlled separately through Apple.
• Manage or cancel App Store subscriptions in your Apple account settings.
• Contact us to ask about analytics information associated with your installation. We may need information to identify the relevant record, and some processing or retention may be required for security, transactions, or legal obligations.
• Use Revera’s recording tools only where you have the rights and consent required by applicable law.

Children

Revera is not designed for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Security and international processing

Recordings and transcripts are kept in the app’s local storage on your device. Information sent to online providers is transmitted to provide the selected feature and may be processed in countries where those providers or their infrastructure operate. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when the app or its data practices change. The effective date above shows when this version was published. Material changes will be reflected on this page.
